Replaced my partner’s central air conditioning unit for 1/3 the cost of the highest quote. Did a thorough job checking the hvac system on my new home, too.
Mize Guys (formerly Empire Mechanical) has done a variety of HVAC projects for us, such as installing additional vents for our heating system, and installing an excellent ductless heating and cooling unit in a large master bedroom. All of the work has been excellent, and the team is both friendly and highly knowledgeable.Last year, storms and flooding put my ductless system out of action. They promptly showed up and diagnosed the issue. It turned out that storm weather damaged the electrical circuit outside of the house. This was actually installed by my electrician (also a great resource), Walter Vaughan. Even before I could text Walter for help, they were in touch with him, telling him what they had found .. so we could get it fixed promptly.This year, during the hottest part of the summer, our air conditioner stopped working. Within hours, they got to the house, checked everything, and confirmed that the issue was just a breaker that was tripping inappropriately. They conveyed their findings to our electrician (Walter), so that his folks could replace it and check to be sure that they too saw nothing actually overloading the circuit.We have been pleased enough with Jay and his team to sign up for their ongoing maintenance plan. This covers scheduled work to keep our equipment running well .. and it also provides discounts for emergency calls outside of ordinary business hours.I highly recommend them, and we plan to be long term customers.
Irritated customer. I have a noisy motor in a gree air handler, mize guys staff asked for a video of the sound to diagnose the issue before scheduled a service call. They stated it would be $99 for a service call to verify. Cool didn’t think anything of it. Well their tech shows up, looked at my ac unit for less than 5 seconds, didn’t even open the unit, and then proceed to charge me for a service call and diagnostic fee totaling $258. A day later they called me with the quote to replace the motor that was $1519. I paid $1800 for the entire three zone system 8 years ago. Ordered the parts to do the repair myself for $63, support bearing and motor. I have no idea what they were doing to justify a $1500 repair bill on an air handler I can order brand new for $215. Other than that they were very responsive and nice. Please have your office staff inform customers of diagnostic fees or better yet include them in your service call fee. I feel very ripped off for less than 10 mins of your techs time. Lesson learned.
Very professional and thorough. Even during the busiest times such as heat waves in the summer with high demand for their services they still can provide after hours services when needed. Their communication and keeping touch with customers is excellent. Good customer service is obviously a high standard for this company.

They explain everything they will do plus. Treacy is wonderful and came here to put the new filters in that worked better with our new system. We signed the proposal on Sunday and had our new system in on Friday. We have had our system since June 11, this year 2021. Wonderfully good people and a blessing from God. I will never hire this company strictly cause of how I see their drivers drive around. Twice in one day. I’ve seen them swirling in and out of traffic. Texting and driving. Watched him cut someone off get mad and brake check someone.

The HVAC at one of our rentals stopped cooling during a recent heat wave. Our tenants are elderly, so I wanted to get it back up and running quickly. Had another local H&A company come out and they told me the compressor had failed and that I needed a whole new system at a substantial cost. I felt pressured, but wisely told the the tech that I needed to get another opinion. I then had Empire come out. Connor and Morgan quickly determined that the only problem was a loose wire in the electrical panel. In less than 10 minutes they had it up and running, saving me from falsely having to buy a new system. Empire's techs were great in comparison to the other H&A company. I would give Empire 10 stars if I could.
Amazing! - That is Empire Heating and Air Conditioning in one word. I was very pleased with their timing, professionalism and friendliness when they installed a new HVAC a couple of years ago. No hard sells - just the necessary information to make a decision.Then something was wrong yesterday...right as we hit a major heat wave. I came home from being out of town and it was obvious that the HVAC wasn't working. I called Empire and they rewarded me with being their customer by getting someone out on the next day - a weekend. Mason arrived within the window given and was professional, friendly and quick! We were back up and cooling within less than a half hour! Amazing!

We found ourselves in a bad situation due to another local HVAC company which Empire Heating & Air Conditioning quickly & professionally remedied!The technician (Bryan) was excellent and was able to diagnose and restore our Fujitsu Airstage within hours of his arrival. He actually went the extra mile and stayed until everything checked out (he deserves a pay bump). I couldn't ask for better service and I will recommend Empire to anyone who asks!
I have used this company for regular service, repair, total replacement of heating and air unit, duct work and modifications to air returns during a remodel. They worked with me to keep my old unit alive for a long time without trying to sell me on replacement. When my unit finally died, they thoroughly explained my options to make sure I got a replacement that I would be happy with that was in my budget. Their bid came in cheaper than two other companies for the same heating/air unit and theirs included some duct work. They did a full replacement quickly without incident, always showed up when they said they would. I received exactly what they told me I would in the timeframe they said it would take. They have called after install to check in with me making sure I am happy and everything is working as it should.Every interaction with this company has been positive. Excellent communication, trustworthy employees who were respectful of me and my home, quick responses to my calls and coming out for repairs. Based on my many experiences with this company, they have my trust and I know they are going to do what they say.
I found out about Empire Heating and Air from a friend who sells heating and air in another state. He highly recommended them to me. Upon visiting them they answered all my questions and applied no pressure to buy. They discussed loan options with no pressure. I did schedule an inspection at which they were prompt, thorough, and informative. We scheduled an install and they were prompt, friendly and courteous. The removed all old equipment and debris, leaving my property in better condition than when they came. I would recommend them to any one neening any service of any kind related to heating and air.
Their team did an amazing job reviewing photos of the location, doing on site estimates, keeping us appraised of delivery timing, full installation of Fujitsu split using with one main condenser outside and 4 evaporator units in each bedroom with individual AC and/or heat controls. They also added wifi connectivity!
